And that's why I'm so excited to offer Medicare rebates to parents accessing counselling in relation to pregnancy, birth and parenting.

Eligibility for rebates is determined by criteria outlined by Medicare - see below.

If you’re pregnant or have been pregnant in the last 12 months, and you’re Medicare-eligible, you can access rebates for ‘Birth Debriefing, ‘Aware Parenting Support,’ and ‘Counselling for Parents.’

• Please ask your GP to use the referral proforma at the bottom of this page (scroll down for copy.) You can also obtain a digital copy of the form by visiting my Instagram page - the link to the form is in my Bio.

• You will need to obtain the GP referral before the appointment.

• Please ask the GP to email the completed form to you, and then forward it to me at meg.rankin.counselling@gmail.com 

• Rebates are available for up to 3 sessions per person, per pregnancy/child. Remember you must be either currently pregnant or have been pregnant in the last 12 months to qualify!

• The rebate is around $68 per session.

• At the time of booking, you will need to pay the full fee, and after the session you'll receive an invoice which you can submit directly to Medicare to access your rebate.

• Please email me if you have any questions BEFORE seeking the referral to your GP, to ensure a smooth process for your Medicare claims.

For care professionals seeking clinical supervision, please chat to your accountant about the possibility of claiming external supervision as a work-related expense - for many care professionals it is considered a legitimate tax deduction.

Please note - all sessions are available online (via secure video call).

Cancellation & rescheduling policy-

Cancellations & rescheduling within 24hrs of a session (& no-shows) incur a 50% fee. As a working Mum relying on paid care for my child, I appreciate your understanding in relation to this.
